6/29/2006 - Emergency room doctor in Decatur successfully defended in wrongful death case.
DECATUR--A Morgan County jury returned a verdict in favor of an emergency room physician today after a two-week trial in Decatur, Alabama. Plaintiff's allegations were that the emergency room physician failed to appropriately diagnose and treat an acute myocardial infarction. The patient's wife sought damages for wrongful death. The trial lasted two weeks. The plaintiff's attorney was Roy Braswell from Huntsville. Rushton Stakely shareholder, Thomas H. Keene, represented the emergency room physician.
