Associate salaries at RSJ&G are competitive with those of larger firms. The firm provides medical and dental coverage, life insurance and participation in a pension/profit sharing plan. Raises are generally based upon merit. The firm considers associates for admission as shareholders generally after 5-6 years. The firm hires top students with an interest in or connection to the City of Montgomery. Law review or other legal journal participation is favored but not required.

Legal Assistants:

Summer Associates:

The firm normally hires several law students for full or 1/2 summer terms as law clerks working with various members of the firm in all areas of the firm practice. Usually, hiring for summer associates is done after on campus interviews at the University of Alabama or the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. However, law students from other law schools with Montgomery connections or a serious intention of moving to the Montgomery area after graduation from law school should send their resumes to Patrick M. Paralegals:

The firm usually employs several college students from local universities to run errands inside and outside of the firm.
